Chinese Notepad Project

The purpose of this section of the site is to allow you to print out the following pages and make an attracfive and useful 30 page notepad.  Please read the instructions if you are unsure how to make this notepad.  This project should be suitable for young children to make if an adult supervises the cutting.  Once you make one you will see that they would also be nice to give as a gift.

Each page of the pad shows:　

• A single large character

• The meaning and pronunciation of the character

• An example of how the character may be combined with another to form a new word

• A small character in the bottom right hand corner which shows what the next page's character will be - so you can learn to recognise characters without seeing their meaning next to them.

• To make the notepad look more aesthetically pleasing, a small piece of chinese artwork decorates each page.

If this project proves popular I will put up more notepads in the future.

Known Problems:

• Netscape 6 does not render the background graphics correctly.  Please use Internet Explorer or Opera to print the notepad pages.
