Character Analysis (radicals)

Important radicals on these pages are:
日 - a basic radical which remains the same when in radical form - ie: it means sun or day
木 - will appear unchanged in many characters to represent being made of wood or being a plant or tree
火 - sometimes appears unchanged to represent fire or heat, but can also appear as "4 dots fire" as in 熱  (hot)
花 - the top crosses are the grass radical
河 - the left radical is actually three dots (computer fonts stylise them) and represent water. Known as "3 dots water"
田 - field appears unaltered in many characters, eg 電 has rain over a field, definitely a warning of lightning!
Also note 雲 and 電 contain the 雨 character - there are many similar examples of this in weather.
