| You should read Classifiers before this section. Once you know some classifiers you only need to learn two characters to be able to say "this object" or "that object". Please note that this whole page is spoken Cantonese only. | ||

Pronunciation Note呢 is commonly pronounced li1 as well as ni1. The 伊 ji1 alternative doesn't seem to be as widespread but is still used enough that it is worth knowing of the variation. |
