Usage Note

午安, 晚上好 and 晚安 are all quite formal and not commonly used.
喂 may be used to attract attention but is not very civil - somewhat akin to the British "oi!".  It is also a fairly common greeting when using the telephone, in which case it translates as something like "yeah?" or "who's that?"  I have an auntie who extends the tone for what seems like about 3 seconds!

Character Analysis

 再見: 再 = again, 見 = see, observe
會 = gather, meet together  遲 = late
午=noon    安 = peaceful; tranquil; quiet; calm
晚 = sunset; night; evening  早=early, morning
慢 = slow 行 = walk  慢慢行 = walk slowly
